Marc Dalessio is an American landscape painter working in Europe. I’ve long admired the decisive and precise colour mixing in his work, with which he is able to capture the light. Somehow he conveys very clearly what it felt like to be in a particular place – the temperature, the humidity, the quality of light, the time of day, and ultimately the mood.
His website, which functions as a blog, is well worth following.
I love Marc’s work and his website offers a lot of useful information also. He seems to be the one painter that makes middle day light look so wonderful.
